Bad People

Popular gun control advocacy position: “We have to keep guns out of the hands of bad people.”

Well, then the best way to do that is to abolish government. Government is essentially a compartmentalized institutional group of bad people – and they possess most of the guns. Not to mention tanks, armored vehicles, attack aircraft, and nuclear weapons. And correspondingly, they have been responsible — over the past several centuries — for killing far, far, more people than private criminals. By many magnitudes. In the hundreds of millions. Maybe billions.

But of course, this inconvenient truth stands statist orthodoxy on its head. Which is why government apologists instantly reject it.

And so the rights of private gun owners continue to disappear.

And the government body count keeps rising.
