Mortgages are financed with “money” that does not exist until the borrower gets approved for the loan — then the $$$ is “created,” and the borrower spends 30 years or so paying it off, plus interest. This, along with “income” taxation, is part of how the Federal Reserve survives. The rest of what you say is also very true. “Perpetual travellers,” last I knew anyway, pay no US tax (unless that “loophole” has been closed?).
