When we focus on being better people, extending kindness, helping our families and supporting the voluntary and cooperative in our communities, then it does not matter who the monarch du jour is within government border lines. These lines are historically defined and continually redefined by ongoing coercion and violence. We choose the world we wish to live in.
Avoid the ambient noise about nation and state along with the despots who rule these constructs of the mind. The humble action of the individual wears down the leviathan just as a gentle stream of water wears down the rock.
