Chaotic Order
I’ve already mentioned that too much chaos AND too much order are both deadly. But here’s another observation: too much order– specifically too much government (which I consider to be any external governance at all)– becomes deadly because it creates too much chaos for individuals.
Twitter versus RT: Which One is State Media Again?
Twitter is fast becoming a branch of US state media itself. For a company with such a large international user base, that seems like a bad business plan. Statist Stockholm Syndrome
Stockholm syndrome is a psychological condition of traumatic bonding in which a victim comes to empathize with an abuser so much that they will identify with and defend them. It is evident in many who consider themselves compassionate and patriotic, as evidenced by the following statist hogwash I recently saw going around social media.
One Thing We Shouldn’t Import from China: Its Education System
We should be careful that America does not become a society of obedient “little soldiers,” abdicating our individual liberty to the powers of the state under the guise that it’s good for us. High test scores may be commendable, but not if they come at such a high price.
Bitcoin: Should the Functions of Money be Separate, or All-in-One?
Money is a lot of things. Predominantly a unit of account, a store of value, and a medium of exchange. We’re quite used to these functions being split up and handled by different tools.
