Today, the organization, Police the Police, posted the graphic below on Facebook:
along with the caption, “It’s no secret institutionalized racism exists and is prevalent within ‘law’ enforcement. What can we do to stop it?” It’s More Complicated Than That. I would say that economic determinants play a major role here as well. Let’s not excuse this tendency lightly by citing racism. Racism is a symptom while imperialism is a far more accurate choice of cause. How do things get “institutionalized?” Cui bono?
