As long as we jump straight to public shaming and enemy-labelling, most people won’t have the internal fortitude to take the necessary steps to change. Public shaming should be a last resort when all hope of change is lost.

Relying on Thugs for Protection
It would be pretty much impossible to determine this accurately, but it would be nice to know how many people have died in the U.S. as a result of them being taught for all of their lives to “call the authorities” if something bad is happening, instead of “taking the law into their own hands.”

Why Are You Surprised by Authoritarianism?
Most kids are conditioned almost from day one to obey arbitrary authority. No one attempts to explain or justify the source of the parent or teacher’s authority; no consent is sought, and no choice is offered.
You Don’t Have to Be a Fool to Deschool
Growing up as a child, I remember watching “pro-education” commercials with slogans like “Don’t be a fool, Stay in School” or “The mind is a terrible thing to waste.” Where I’m from, the term “drop-out” generates just about the same effect as the term “dope-dealer.”
Outcome-Based Reasoning
“National ‘borders’ is a state-created concept, and therefore any ‘policy’ about those borders–including the policy of not violently stopping people from crossing–is a ‘government program.’ Therefore, ‘open borders’ is just as statist as ‘closed borders.'”
I Am a Voluntaryist
I am a voluntaryist, anarchist, libertarian, agorist, and capitalist. These are legitimate, effective ways of accomplishing worthy goals without resorting to authoritarian control.
