Satanic Ritual Abuse?

Although it hasn’t yet reached the mainstream, there appears to be a growing resurgence of the panic and fear mongering of the 1980s regarding the thoroughly debunked claims of “satanic ritual abuse” and widespread kidnapping for such purposes. If you are seeing this trend too, please help to counter such fantastical claims with logic and truth.

We already have parents being arrested for such harmless choices as allowing their children to play at the park or walk down the street unsupervised. Child abduction outside of custody disputes is incredibly rare (your child is more likely to be hit by lightning than kidnapped by a stranger), and bolstering ridiculous conspiracy theories to the contrary will only serve to strengthen the police state at the expense of individual liberty.
