Parrish, it is precisely because, when men are driven to despair some will seek resolution in violence, that positive change is then made by those who practice non-violence but stern resistance.  Four of the greatest positive changes in the 20th Century came from resistance and perseverance.  Certainly humans have every reason to oppose the murderous state in any way that they can.  But when the state is subsumed in violence, a new and more stern state is what rises in its place.  This is not an indictment of Guy Fawkes, but this is a celebration of Ghandi, Martin Luther King, Jr., Tutu and Mandela, and the long suffering people of the Iron Curtain Bloc.
