Isn’t this POTUS something else? He commits gaffes by the hour. For a while there, I feared he would not self-destruct, but he is about to finish a year of singular failure.
The Spooner Rule
I could write on for pages without end about the present state of the ‘Net, and its so-called neutrality. But I would start by saying I am throttled for half of every metering period because I have to get the Internet by satellite in my rural getaway, and the current net neutrality rules are blamed, for the throttling, by my ISP.
False Dichotomy
It is difficult to imagine that the false dichotomy that is the screwy notion that we must choose between tyranny and arbitrary and capricious corporate rule, will ever go away. There is no scenario in which corporations survive the fall of their protective states.
Comparing the Lowest
To what end does anyone compare CNN and Fox News? They are both insignificant portions of the very poor cable news industry. In every instance, cable news players have prostituted themselves to selected interest groups.
Impatience
It is understandable to be impatient with organizations such as the American Cancer Society, since they have been talking about getting rid of a disease for over half a century.
Thanksgiving?
Has war ended in the past week? No? Not ok. It’s hard to give thanks for bounty that are the spoils of war.
Freedom or State?
Freedom produces creativity. The state stifles creativity. Freedom has elements of want, need, and ambition. The state rewards greed.
