There’s little more we can do than hope that some cool heads around Donald Trump are telling him he’d be nuts to attack North Korea. I don’t know who they might be. Still, we must hope.

Be Free (Even When People Disagree)
Lots of people know how to be cool and confident as long as everyone is nodding their heads in agreement with them. It’s a lot harder to be cool and confident when someone listens to you and says “Sorry. I’m not buying anything you’re saying.”
Two Peas in a Pod
How are FDR and DJT alike? Let me list the ways: — POTUS’s ego is the highest entry on the agenda — Nothing is stable. The ground trembles beneath our feet. — Daily chats. — Sucks up to the military. — Puts the judicial branch on its back foot.
“Autistic Shrieking”? Nope.
How silly is this new meme of calling rational libertarian/anarchist objections to blatant statism “autistic shrieking“? Incredibly silly–and probably insulting to both the libertarian and the autistic. But, it follows a pattern I’ve noticed before, in unrelated areas.
Finding Beauty in Every Freakin’ Moment, No Matter What
How often are we anxious, frustrated, looking forward to something coming up, unhappy with ourselves, unhappy with others? How often are we not happy with what’s going on in this present moment? 6 Common Baby Items that Interrupt Your Child’s Natural Development.
The most empowering thing (well, one of the..) I realized as a mother is that we often times overcomplicate raising children, and we don’t have to. It is only “legalized” if the laws allowing it actually applied to anyone, that they are anything more than opinions scribbled on parchment, paper, or computer screens.
Words Poorly Used #84 — Scientist
Once again we’ve see this too-broad-by-multiples word, scientist, asked to carry far more straw than would break a camel’s back. If we look at its etymology, we can see the truth that it was not meant to tote all the baggage attached to it today.
For People to Own Other People
Don’t put too much stake in all the “movement” drama, or in any particular individual, organization, or event. Whatever else happens along the way, changing minds is what matters.
Logical Fallacies That Aren’t
I see the most logical fallacies in debate and discussion when people are trying to point out logical fallacies. This is because people like to use logical fallacies as a weapon without having any real fundamental understanding of what a logical fallacy is. I will give some examples.
