The following observation should put an end to all the brainless “voluntarialisticalsismistic” yawp (though likely it won’t):
Compare the state of liberty in the US between the real achievements of Ron Paul (who used the electoral system), and the total absence of a Ron Paul.
If you are a consistent “Voluntaryist” (a term truly worthy of its adherents), you must maintain that the US would have been better off WITHOUT Ron Paul.
Given that the media prefers to give a platform to people who are in elected office over those not in elected office, Ron Paul was perhaps able to reach more people with his message than he would have without being in elected office. Sure it is possible to reach mass numbers of people without holding an elected office but maybe not as many. Ron Paul did have an advantage by being in elected office and I believe was able to influence more people that he would have otherwise.
