Great episode. I, too, have encountered consternation in my hearers when I tell them I don’t vote. To avoid getting into unsatisfactory discussions, I have made up a card to hand people when the issue comes up. It says: “I don’t vote. I believe it would be unethical for me to assist in placing one human being in a position of power over another. Further, I don’t join mobs or pick sides in gang fights.
