It absolutely astounds me that anyone believes the media tells the truth. The media is nothing more than the public relations department of the state, and every story (from the tales of local constables rounding up farmers and entrepreneurs in the “war on drugs” to the stories of courageous warriors “protecting our freedom” through the mass slaughter known as the “war on terror”) are all designed to mollify the fears and concerns of the gutless sheep who refuse to recognize their true enemy.

What’s Wrong with the Thrive/Survive Theory of Left and Right
Many people in my circles now seem to take Thrive/Survive Theory as the default position; if it’s not true, it’s still the story to beat. But to be blunt, I find essentially no value in it. It’s not always wrong, but it’s about as right as you’d expect from chance.
Must Be Absolute
We can have cheap prices for a scarce commodity and its sudden disappearance as everyone uses it up, or we can have higher prices that make it available to those willing to pay for it. There is nothing in between.
Welfare States Encourage Bad Economic Thinking
In the absence of sound economic thinking, which explains why particular resources end up in the hands of particular members of extended social order, there appears a tendency to invent arbitrary pseudo-reasons as to why one’s position in this order is not as satisfactory as one would like it to be.
The -Ism No One is Talking About.
Children are wild and free. This alone can be very triggering to some people, but they are and that is the truth of their biology. They are meant to move, explore, be rowdy, run around, test things, play, and be in connection with other people. And not just for a couple of hours blocked off every day, but all the time. They are meant to live it. The problem is not children, the problem is a society that makes no room for them to be who they are.
What Kind of Right is It?
It doesn’t matter to me if a right is a “First Amendment Right” or a “Second Amendment Right” or any other right supposedly “protected” by the Bill of Rights. The Constitution was a scam, and it’s been irrelevant for all intents and purposes for a very long time.
The Liberal Spirit and Its Opposite, Alt-Rightism
Maybe a few self-described libertarians cling to the idea that property is essentially about exclusion, but they are fated to hit a wall: liberalism is a spirit as well as a set of ideas, and it cannot be turned against itself. It fosters human solidarity, not separation. Libertarianism, like its precursor, is an answer to the question: under what conditions do reasoning social animals best flourish? In answering that question the way it has, liberalism offers no home to sowers of division.
Libertarian Solutions: How to Keep Americans Safe From The Next Big Hurricane
When it comes down to it, it’s a matter of voluntary choices vs. coercion. If no one would voluntarily insure a building in a flood plain for a low premium, then forcing us to do it is always going to lead to a perverse, wasteful, and in this case, even potentially deadly result.
“Consent of The Governed”?
Governing someone has much more potential for grievous harm than mere sexual activity. Yet, they impose their own idea of an “age of consent” for that, and neglect making one up for being governed. They even insist on governing infants! What perverts they are!
What Free Speech is Not
What “free speech” actually means: people do not have the moral right to initiate violence against you to stop you from expressing what you believe. Some things “free speech” does not mean…
