Partitions VI — Germany and Berlin

Nobody asked but …

This seems such a trifling complaint, since Germany and Berlin played such a minor role on the world stage for four and a half decades after the nominal end of WW II <irony alert>.

The Allies couldn’t get along well enough to share the administration of the occupied territory (there’s that word again).

Ten consecutive of America’s 45 POTUS’es had to dip their oars directly in those tumultuous waters.  And subsequently, all four more have had to deal with the aftermath.
