Nobody asked but …

One word, “Natural” will do for the title of this post, since the frequently used “Natural Law” is really a redundancy.

We cannot avoid the inevitability of Nature by passing a pitiful fiction in a legislature, which is itself a fiction.  We cannot supplant Nature by toying with language in the courts, which are themselves fictions.

The two greatest afflictions of humanity are the mistaken beliefs that

  1. We can get rid of war by being against it, and
  2. We can stop outcomes by establishing rules against them.

Excuse me while I fashion a taboo to thwart lightening.
