There are two kinds of people in the world, those who divide things in two and those who don’t.
There’s good news, and bad news. Neither of these proceeds alone along life’s pathways.
We know about opportunity cost. For each thing one does, you have to give up something of equal (there are many metrics which may apply) weight.
Here are examples:
— One elected official is out, another is in.
— In debate, there are ideas that advance, but others that recede.
— Sometimes good comes forward, other occasions see the opposite.
— Opinions and emotions lead us to fantasy, logic and experience lead us to fact.
The list goes on.
