Human sacrifice to the gods for the promise of blessings differs only in degree to the sacrifice of liberties for the promise of entitlements. Both require unjustified acts of coercion by the sacred authorities against your peaceful neighbors.

On Diversity
The desire by so many for racial diversity seems to trump all other types of diversity. Can it be said that those who clamor for racial diversity “only see color”? Can it also be said that in their pursuit of racial diversity that they are tokenizing individuals as representatives for their race?
On “Land of the Free”
Every sporting event in America is started with a recital of the National Anthem, the latest Super Bowl was no different. The National Anthem ends with, “O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave.” With so many entitlements saturating the country, this phrase is utter bullshit.
On Tolerance II
It’s just a tad (just a tad) ironic that the supposedly most tolerant places in the world, places like London, San Francisco, Toronto, and New York, are also the most heavily regulated and taxed. Why is this ironic? Because advocating for and permitting your government to impose such heavy burdens on your neighbors is one of the most intolerant things you can do.
On Toxic Masculinity II
The most apparent forms of toxic masculinity that no one is talking about is what goes on with the armed forces and law enforcement. I guess stopping men from mansplaining or from flirting and hitting on women or boys from playfully roughhousing is more important.

On Determinism II
It’s bonkers when you really consider what’s happening and why. If we don’t have free will, then we are all quite literally operating on autopilot. Nobody’s in control, the captain’s seat is empty.
On Empathy II
Do we not have a natural propensity to be deeply affected by the emotions experienced and portrayed by others right in front of us? Do we not want to either reach out and hold them, to soothe them or on the other end, to smile and to dance with them? Imagine the ability to view someone suffer, in some great way, perhaps someone you know, from behind a sound-proof one-way mirror. Our empathy would be barred, stunted.
On Entitlements II
Many are the reasons that people give in support of their preferred entitlements, which the guarantee of such by government necessarily entails the violation of other people’s liberties.
On Motivation
One of the principles that unschoolers live by concerns motivation. It should be obvious to all that motivation borne inside of us (intrinsic), such as when we are pursuing an interest or passion, is superior to forms of motivation that had their origin in a threat (extrinsic).
