I see the most logical fallacies in debate and discussion when people are trying to point out logical fallacies. This is because people like to use logical fallacies as a weapon without having any real fundamental understanding of what a logical fallacy is. I will give some examples.

Teachers Are Like Cops
If you do exactly what they say and convince yourself that they know better than you … you might think they are good people doing a good thing. Once you choose not to live under the thumb of other people, the people who wish to bully you will show themselves to be bullies.
The Challenge to Decentralist Ideology
A large contingency of people consider the state/government to be the enforcer and protectorate of a society’s values. This might be the largest obstacle decentralists (like myself) have in espousing and explaining a decentralist ideology and sentiment.
Nay Impossible to Understand the Middle East Fiasco
I believe little of what comes out of the Middle East. This isn’t because I take anyone’s side, but because the natives have such a small amount of influence relative to the other powers that be. Immersion is More Powerful Than Money
If you want your kids to have the best chance at success and intelligence, don’t spend money to invest in their education … that is a waste of money. The best shot you have is to surround them with a culture that highly values success and intelligence.
Not Every Time Should be Cherished
I think people too much of a focus on making the most out of things. I am seeing it as a common thing among parents needing to cherish the time they have with their kids. This seems like a nice sentiment, but I think it leads people into poor decisions.
On Free Will and Determinism
Choices aren’t willed into existence, but rather choices are a reaction of how our mind and individual being interacts within the world. You didn’t choose your spouse because you willed it, you chose your spouse because you liked them.
