Tax Reform

Nobody asked but …

As with every Congress, talk of tax reduction is in the air.  They pump up the promise by multiplying the number of years involved.  This time the calculation is fattened by a decade in which the pie in the sky amounts to $1.5 billion of purported cuts.  Divided by 10 years, by 365 days, by the current population of the USA, the tax cuts will work out to be less than today’s small order of french fries a day — for each woman, girl, man, and boy. Will we sell our souls for chump change? Is reduction of theft not theft anymore?  Would you like fries with that?
