Nobody asked but …
Killing the messenger will never grow old. It is because there are far too many who are desperately seeking ways to shut out the tsunami of data. I don’t know how many times I have heard the phrase, “Cartoon News Network” used because someone did not like the import of a story. To be sure, CNN has done everything in its power to destroy its own credibility, but when a story contains a verifiable fact, CNN’s lack of credibility is incapable of changing that fact to “fake news.”
Case in point, CNN carried a story which quoted and showed a screen capture of a POTUS tweet. In that tweet, the ever-self-serving one used the recent school shooting as an entree to chiding the FBI over spending too much time on the Russia investigation. No one should use any school shooting as an opportunity to advance an otherwise unrelated agendum. Not CNN. Not POTUS. Not anyone.
We interrupt this tragedy to bring you yet another self-serving tweet from POTUS:
Very sad that the FBI missed all of the many signals sent out by the Florida school shooter. This is not acceptable. They are spending too much time trying to prove Russian collusion with the Trump campaign – there is no collusion. Get back to the basics and make us all proud!
