Recently I saw where someone was told to “go live in the woods” when he said he believed all human interactions should be voluntary and this was why he didn’t “do” politics. Really.

Traffic Ticket Dismissed in Florida
Congrats to Lorenzo for defending himself against the predators in Florida and getting a dismissal. While there is no direct evidence the failure of the judge and prosecutor to respond in eight months to the motion to dismiss and discovery request led to the dismissal, I don’t think we can totally discount that.
The Lies of Anti-Gun Bigots
Lies are all they have. Recently I saw an old “article” by some bigot who said there were some truths that gun rights supporters would never talk about. Then he started lying.
Words Poorly Used #132 — Non-Disclosure
If it is POTUS himself who is trying to hush government employees, doesn’t it violate two trusts of public office? Firstly, he is infringing on the employees’ right to free speech, but worse he is dropping an iron wall on the public’s expectation of transparency in government.
Death Penalty for Drug Dealers? Be Careful What You Wish For, President Trump
As a major league drug dealer, perhaps Trump is taking his cue from the murderous cartels of Colombia and Mexico. Now that he has the entirety of federal law enforcement and the US armed forces at his beck and call, why not just kill his competitors? Pablo Trumpobar, anyone? El Trumpo?

Hooray for Smugglers!
Smuggling. What a funny little non-crime. I can’t even wrap my mind around any possible way it could be wrong. It’s just the act of going around a bully who’s standing in your way, wanting to rob you or prevent you from getting products to those who want them.
Endings, Not in Sight
Time flies when you’re having fun, but some things seem never to change. Wars lead to wars. Government leads to more government. Taxes lead to greater taxes. Modes of taxation lead to more and novel modes of taxation. Organized crime leads to organization, crime, and more organized crime.
The Welfare State: Where’s the Freedom and Responsibility?
The number of people on benefits is growing, while the relative number of people supporting those benefits is decreasing. There was a time when there were no benefits, and people were expected to exercise personal responsibility regarding their financial situation. Now, as much as 70% of American families receive more from the government than they pay in taxes. This is not sustainable, any more than it is moral.
Lies Cause Weakness
Lies feel safe and cozy. Especially when they are told and retold. When the lies bring you together and make you feel a part of a community you have a special place to fit in. Truth is often lonely and painful. I know.
