Nobody asked but …

Here we are in the last half of the first third of the 21st Century yet I am having a great deal of difficulty because I do not have my eyeballs today, having undergone some surgery this morning.  I am trying to use a voice-to-text application on my mobile phone and it is quite demanding — correction, taxing — (and we all know that taxation is theft), so why isn’t it easier to talk into a computer and get it to convert into text?  Text is still by far the most indelible form of communication.  We may choose words badly when we write, but there is little chance that the written word will be mistaken for something else.  We should be at some point beyond this when it comes to text conversion from voice.  What we have is rather amazing but it is still something less than what we might expect.
