I’d like to give a warm welcome to Parish Miller who just joined EVC as a blogger. Skyler.

Re: Burzynski
Kilgore, I think you’ll like Stan Burzynski. He’s a cancer doctor who has nearly cured cancer and is continually attacked by the state for it. See this praise post I made in 2011. The documentary is a must watch. Skyler.
Re: Photos on My Wall
Kilgore, I’ve been meaning to put up framed photos of several great thinkers and people around my library at home. They would include (but not limited to) Thomas Sowell, Ludwig von Mises, Albert Jay Nock, H. L. Mencken, Murray Rothbard, Leonard Read, Ghandi, Charles Darwin, Norman Borlaug, and Stanislaw Burzynski. Skyler.
New Blogger, Welcome Kilgore!
I’d like to welcome Kilgore to EVC as a blogger. Skyler.
New Feature: Two Cents
I’d like to introduce a new feature at EVC called “Two Cents,” featuring the editor’s (that’s me!) opinion on the topic of the day (or just one of many, actually) in one paragraph. The first post is on global warming here. Skyler.
Re: Animals and the NAP
Kyle Racette makes a good point, here, on the NAP and animal sentience. I don’t agree with him that human beings are herbivores, and should therefore be eating a vegetarian or vegan diet, but if I did I would stand alongside him and advocate for applying the NAP to animals. I don’t know if such…
Animals and the NAP

I don’t think we should go around half-killing animals and then letting them suffer toward either health or death. If there’s a more humane way to…
Sharing, Taking Turns
Heather Shumaker wrote an enlightening post on sharing and taking turns at her personal website. Our kids are becoming used to waiting for the other to finish with whatever they’re playing with before they can have a turn, waiting for the other to “get their fill.” If they both want to use something of mine,…
Damaging Government Property?
Ben Stone of the Bad Quaker podcast, who I’ve recently begun listening to (but too early to recommend), wrote an essay on civil disobedience for DailyAnarchist.com. It’s very good, but I took issue with a piece of his setup. This: It’s impossible for government to legitimately own anything. Everything that is commonly considered “government property”…
When Your Resources or Not Really Yours
In a response to a Mises Scholars Google group post on intellectual property, I wrote: One moment I may configure my resources in any pattern of my choosing. The next moment (after you file at the patent office), I may only configure my resources in any pattern of my choosing, minus one. Just like that,…
