If you really valued independence, you wouldn’t fly the gang colors on Independence Day. Instead you would demand independence from all such gangs. You wouldn’t pledge allegiance to any gang, nor to any gang’s Holy Pole Quilt. You would reject such things as the fawning behavior of a slave.

Moderation Can Be Vicious
Compromise is often a good thing; it’s often useful to meet people halfway on something so everyone can at least be content enough to settle some disagreement and not fight anymore. And when someone shows no ability or willingness to bend at all, he will often be seen as hard-headed, stubborn, even extreme. However, the idea that compromise and “moderation” are always automatically good things is completely bogus.
“He’s Just Being a Boy”
Saying “Well, he’s just being a boy” or “Boys will be boys” trains him to believe it’s OK to violate other people. You might even end up raising a cop!
NAP Permission

Premise: Initiating violence against entire categories of people is justified if the end result is more overall freedom. That is the “ends justify the means” bullshit excuse that “closed border” advocates pretending to be anarchists constantly use.
Collectivist Authoritarians Can’t Be Anarchists
It’s like a “pacifist” explaining why he beat the crap out of someone, but is still a pacifist. Or a “vegan” explaining why he just ate a big steak, but is still a vegan. If you’re gonna advocate state violence, aggression, and centralized, collectivist authoritarian control, then just accept and admit that you’re a statist.
Epochs, Evolution, Nationalism, and Synthesis: What Gives Anarchists The Best Chance At Reaching AnCapistan?
Anarchy doesn’t need to be redefined. The pillars are stable. What it needs is a new foundation, those very foundations that allowed the philosophy of Anarchy and Liberty to appear on the world stage in the first place. The Pillars are strong. The Foundation is crumbling.
Late Night Horror Movie of Your Own Making
Dilbert’s Scott Adams says everyone sees the world as a sort of “movie” playing on a screen in their mind. Different people see the same events differently, depending on the specific “movie” they are watching.
