Trail of Tears

Nobody asked but …

Andrew Jackson, no doubt, had lots of statist policy justifications for implementing the Trail of Tears and similar enslavements of fellow human beings.  He may have even quoted Biblical alibis.

Abraham Lincoln may have had lots of bureaucratic babel to spend on excuses for his bringing a country to civil war.

Alexander Hamilton may have had reasons for the deadly statist imposition of whiskey taxes.

Herbert Hoover may have been able to sleep at night after he turned the Army loose with intent to kill, after the government had reneged on its promise to pay veterans a bonus.

FDR had many tough decisions to gloss over.  The internment of American citizens of Japanese ancestry comes to mind.  So also does the surrendering of half of Europe, for half a century, in his satanic Yalta agreement with Joe Stalin.

That other Joe, McCarthy was surely proud of himself.

And I’m sure that LBJ and Nixon patted themselves on the back for their good works in Cambodia and My Lai.

These are just a few of the greatest hits perpetrated by the heroes of the current POTUS.  And now he seems intent on outdoing them all.
