Nobody asked but …

Economies follow natural law.  Economies endure and survive whatever stresses arise.  I read an excellent article at FEE recently that even asserted that an economy, without serious structural problems,  adjusts rather rapidly.

There is very little in the way of short-term fixes that will alter that.

There will be mid- and long-term effects that outweigh current political shenanigans.  The problem for naysayers and Pollyannas is that they don’t really know anything.  The accumulation of effects, structural distresses, from past kicking of the can down the road may push us over the edge, while making it appear that Coronavirus is the sole cause, rather than the catalyst.
