Abolition from Transparency

According to its defenders, the state is supposed to be “by the people” and “for the people,” so how could it possibly have a right to keep secrets from the people? Of course, I believe that the state is evil and should be abolished in its entirety, but either way, can we at least agree that it shouldn’t be permitted to keep secrets?

Chelsea Manning is a hero. So is Edward Snowden, Julian Assange, and every other person on earth who reveals the facts and truths which states keep hidden. If I had the ability, I would obtain and publish every document, every utterance, and every thought from every politician and government agent on the planet. Not only would the release of such an archive bring about unprecedented transparency, it would undoubtedly be the impetus for the abolition of the state.
