On Government Shutdowns II

I love how the US Federal Government “shutdown” only seems to involve tourist attractions, national parks, and needed Federal services like obtaining a passport, but doesn’t involve the worst parts of the state, like the military, FBI, IRS, and the rest of the alphabet soup of invasive agencies. It’s clearly an attempt to make everyday Americans suffer and become enraged at their “representatives,” to inconvenience everyone in order to bolster the perception of how necessary the Federal government is. But perhaps a few more Americans will wake up to the realization that the Federal government is not, in fact, necessary. That’s my hope, and today’s two cents.
