On Condemnation

If I said something that offended others, I expect to be given a chance to explain myself before being “condemned” for it. And so, as a matter of Golden Rule ethics, I must do likewise to Don Sterling, the owner of the LA Clippers, an NBA basketball team, who allegedly said something racist toward blacks. I’ve searched Google and, unfortunately, I can’t find anything from Sterling post-controversy. He seems to have yet to explain his remarks. As a matter of principle, then, I can’t condemn him for what he said. Until he gives an explanation, I will refrain from giving an opinion. If only others weren’t so quick to condemn… And that’s today’s two cents.

Skyler.
