Moving On

Nobody asked but …

Here in the Bluegrass, we are currently weathering one of our annular kerfuffles.  Seven of the gladiators for the Kentucky Wildcats basketball team declared a surrender of their college athletic eligibility to seek their fortunes in the National Basketball Association (NBA).  This is, by the way, record-setting both for the school and the NBA.  But it confounds me, an avid fan, how this is apprehended by T. W. Fits (the Wildcat fan in-the-street).  Will the sun ever rise again?  The only regret that I can muster is that we are not losing some other local luminaries instead — like Mitch McConnell or Rand Paul.  And life has gone on despite the relocations of Abraham Lincoln, Jennifer Lawrence, George Clooney, and Johnny Depp.

Wait to worry. Actually, why would you worry at all?

As you go through life let this be your goal,
watch the doughnut but not the hole.

… or cable news.
