Deny Bakery Service? Go to Jail. Deny Airline Service? The Law Will Help You!

In America, if you are a small bakery and you decline to do business with someone—with no contracts broken and no money paid—you can be fined hundreds of thousands of dollars and lose your business. If you are a major airline, however, you can send in stormtroopers to violently eject a passenger who has already purchased a ticket, shown up at the airport, gone through security, checked his bags, boarded the airplane, and buckled his seat belt (because the airline intentionally overbooks their flights), and the law is 100 percent on your side.

If you are not familiar with the concept of “regulatory capture,” you should probably do some research. The American economic system is not a free market by any stretch of the imagination. Rather, it’s a variation of fascism in which the state and a collection of wealthy and well-connected oligopolistic corporations conspire against the public to advance their own self-interest and make huge monetary gains at the expense of “customers” who have little or no choice in the matter.
