Collectivism is the Antithesis of Libertarianism

The philosophical foundation of libertarianism and anarchism is individualism. The non-aggression principle (NAP) is based on the principle of self-ownership, which can be considered individualism taken to its logical conclusion.

The corollary to this understanding is that collectivism is not just incompatible with libertarianism, it is its literal antithesis. Judging or denigrating individuals on the basis of collectivist concepts (such as race, birthplace, nationality, citizenship, etc.) is not just ignorant, it’s a dangerous lie which serves as the pretext for war, genocide, and all manner of evils.

The self-described ‘libertarian fascists’ and ‘racialists’ are as far from the philosophy of libertarianism as are any avowed communists or socialists. Collectivist thinking is the root evil of statism, fascism, nationalism, and communism alike.
